Classic Topiary

Our classic line of topiary sculptures refers to the method of planting. In this model the plant roots are planted and buried in the ground or in a planter, unlike our portable line of topiary where the plant roots are buried inside the cavity of the sculpture. With the proper care your sculpture can last for years or even decades.

Advantages of classic topiary:

Simple and affordable: A metal frame will be designed to your preference and built in our metal shop. The metal frame will then be moved to your site or home and Evergreens will be planted in the ground underneath the frame for it to grow and fill up the sculpture overtime.

Low maintenance on the long run: since the roots of the plant are in entrenched the ground, the plant can reach out and manage its own watering and fertilization needs, hence less watering and fertilizing on your side will be required. The plant will also have stronger immunity, reducing the need for the use of pesticides. With the proper care your sculpture can last for years or decades.

Disadvantages of classic topiary:

Long wait: You would have to wait for a few months to a few years depending on the sculpture’s size, until the sculpture is completely covered with green plant foliage.

Start over: If the plant dies off due to an accident or lack of care, the damaged plant can be replaced but you would have to wait for it to grow again and fill up the sculpture. Unlike our portable line where the roots are growing inside the metal frame of the sculpture. The damaged plants can be replaced with new ones and full coverage can be immediately achieved without the need for the wait.
